West Herts College has appointed Farrans Construction for Phase 2 of their campus development in Hemel Hempstead, involving the creation of an engineering and construction centre for the FE college. The works started on site this week; the new centre will be two storeys high and include an engineering laboratory, computer science, workshops for plumbing, carpentry, motor vehicles, welding along with classroom and staff space.

Equals are providing project management and cost management services on the project and our input and commitment to managing the delivery will be invaluable to the successful delivery of Phase 2, as the project is on a fast track programme. To enable the college to meet deadlines we have developed a strategic programme to mitigate site constraints. Our cost services include initial cost planning / benchmarking, procurement and contract strategy, tender documentation preparation and cost reporting throughout the project.
