What is the current big trend in your sector?

More and more clients are looking to upgrade their facilities to provide first-class archive and storage conditions for what are often priceless artefacts. There is an increasing focus to achieve the correct levels of environmental control and fire protection for collections. Rather than relying on the active systems that have been common in the past, there is a shift towards more passive measures which are environmentally sustainable. We are helping a variety of clients to meet these challenges so that buildings of this type provide the conditions required while being environmentally friendly at the same time.

What is your favourite city and why?

I’ve always loved Seville – oranges, flamenco, and lots of sun.

Give an interesting fact that nobody knows about you?

I once appeared on stage with Bob Geldof.

What is the best film you’ve ever watched and why?

A French film called The Intouchables. It’s moving, brilliantly funny and romantic.
