What are the key challenges that are likely to affect your sector in the next five years?

Skilled labour shortages, market price fluctuations and the introduction of new technologies/design complexities to help deliver more sustainable buildings.

Why did you want to become a Quantity Surveyor?

When I was a child my dad brought me to a plot of land he had purchased to start his first residential development, I still remember the look of pride on his face. Since then I showed a great interest in his work and the industry and I knew early on it was something I wanted to get involved in. After researching the various roles, quantity surveying grabbed my attention and I haven’t looked back since.

What is an interesting fact that nobody knows about you?

I served the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark tea.
