What are the key challenges that are likely to affect your sector in the next five years?

The shortage of skilled labour is an ever increasing challenge for construction. Along with a lack of innovation, compared to other industries, this continues to hamper efforts to meet required and developing environmental targets.

Why did you want to become a Project Manager?

Having started my career as a civil engineer, I became interested in the role of the PM by seeing how this role could allow me to positively shape all aspects of a project. I loved the idea of working with the wider team, to find new and innovative ways to drive successful projects. And it looked like good fun too!

What is your favourite building and why?

The V&A Museum Exhibition Road Quarter would be one of my top picks – it was the first project I worked on in London so it holds a special place in my heart.

Give an interesting fact that nobody knows about you?

Growing up on a farm, I used to make goats cheese!
