Designed by White Red Architects, this beautiful new space was a response to the Library’s rapidly expanding membership base which had outgrown the previous Members’ Room. The existing space was extended and newly fitted out and is now an inviting environment full of places to study, featuring plenty of work stations complete with individual power and charging ports.

The details of the design are loyal to features of the British Library and reflect the iconic characteristics of the building. The design is also in line with the previously existing Members’ Room and uses the same bespoke carpet which incorporates specific angles taken from the overall structure in its pattern.

Equals provided project and cost management services.
