The new Aga Khan Centre at London’s King’s Cross Central was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Fumihiko Maki. The new nine storey centre contains teaching and educational facilities including a major library and offices for faculty staff, as well as offices for the Aga Khan Foundation and associated organisations. The building incorporates six Islamic gardens in a series of roof spaces, terraces and courtyards.

Equals’ provided project management staff by secondment to the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) King’s Cross project team, including our former Chairman, Jonathan Harper, who acted as overall project manager for AKDN’s campus of projects at King’s Cross.

In a separate commission, we also provided full move management services to relocate staff of the Aga Khan Foundation, Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations and the Institute of Ismaili Studies from their existing premises into the new Aga Khan Centre.
