We provided project and cost management, as well as Employer’s Agent services on the redevelopment of a central London site for Acai Group. Situated in the heart of Marylebone, the new build scheme offers fully fitted out commercial offices over seven floors, retail space on the ground floor and support facilities on the lower ground.
Designed by Squire and Partners, the building is on a constrained central London site in a densely populated area, and as a result had significant logistical challenges that had to be carefully managed throughout the project. Particularly challenging was the need to incorporate an emergency escape route from the adjacent University of Westminster throughout construction. This required significant temporary works and a robust design process to incorporate into the scheme and mitigate any programme delay. As well as the demolition of the existing building, we provided our services throughout the construction of the shell and core and subsequent Cat A and B fit out.
The project was delivered by Gilbert Ash under a JCT Design and Build contract.
