Work has recently commenced on site on a façade remediation at Hardwick Square in southwest London. The building is made up of three blocks and is located in Wandsworth.

Equals has been acting as cost and project managers for this cladding remediation project funded by the Building Safety Fund. Working for the RMC, we have managed the procurement of a contractor, technical design consultant and fire consultant, as well as producing the contract documentation and liaising with the managing agent to co-ordinate the BSF application process.

The project involves the removal and replacement of 7,408m² of cladding, including brickwork, render, and metal rainscreen. The existing cladding systems inclusive of associated external wall insulation will be replaced with non-combustible products in order to achieve a new EWS1 Form rating. The existing materials are also being replaced ‘like for like’ in order to maintain the existing building appearance. The work also includes the installation of fire rated cavity barriers across the building.

Equals is now providing post contract cost management services and acting as the Contract Administrator through to the completion of the project. The main contractor is Clad Design Resource Ltd.
