Celebrating National Apprentice Week
We currently have eight apprentices working and training with us on one of the Government Apprentice Trailblazer schemes as QS’s and PM’s. To celebrate National Apprentice week, we have taken the opportunity to see how our two newest apprentices are finding it here at Equals.
Since joining Equals in September last year, Anthony and Szymon have been involved in a variety of projects, and we asked them what the highlights have been:
“One of the things I’ve really enjoyed has been working as part of a team – particularly the wider design team on projects. Getting to understand the role of other consultants such as architects and engineers has been really interesting.” Szymon Kocikowski, Apprentice Project Manager
“As well as the opportunity to work on projects in different sectors, a highlight for me has been our visits to site. For me, it really opens up my learning, as I can see the practical application of the principles we are learning at University.” Anthony James, Apprentice Quantity Surveyor
All our apprentices are working towards achieving BSc (Hons) degrees on the way to achieving the apprenticeship end point assessment as chartered project managers or surveyors (MRICS). They are a key part of our team development.
